Delete your account
You can permanently delete your vCISO Threat Intel account and all data associated with it at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and how to request deletion if you can no longer sign in. It applies to both the website at vciso.au and the iOS and Android apps.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the vCISO Threat Intel app and make sure you are signed in.
- Go to the More tab.
- Tap Delete account in the account section.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Delete on the website
Sign in at vciso.au/profile and use the Delete account option in account settings.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access your account, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile and sign-in identity (name, email, avatar).
- Your saved indicators (IOCs), feed settings, personal feed key, technology watchlist and whitelist.
- Your intel posts, comments, ratings and group memberships.
- Your connections and direct messages.
- Your alerts, storage requests and other account settings.
What is retained
Aggregated, already-public threat-intelligence data (community IOC feeds, ransomware leak-site records, news and advisories) is not personal to you and is not affected. Any feedback you submitted is kept but anonymised (your identity is removed). We may retain minimal records where required by law.
Timing
In-app and website deletions take effect immediately and are irreversible. Email-requested deletions are completed within 30 days.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data more generally.
